What is LinkedIn's weekly invitation limit?
LinkedIn enforces a rolling 7-day invitation cap of roughly 100 per week on free accounts, rising to about 150 on Premium and 200 on Sales Navigator and Recruiter. It is a rolling window, not a Monday reset: what you sent six days ago still counts against today.
CampaignStack tracks the rolling 7-day sum per account and clamps every day’s connection budget to the remaining weekly allowance, so a workflow can never push an account over the cap even when its daily budget would allow it.
The second, quieter limit: pending invitations
Section titled “The second, quieter limit: pending invitations”There is a separate cap almost nobody budgets for: LinkedIn starts blocking new invitations when an account has around 400 invitations pending. Sent-but-unanswered invitations pile up silently, and an account with a large backlog stops being able to connect at all, no matter how far under the weekly cap it is.
CampaignStack handles this with automatic invitation hygiene: a daily per-account sweep that withdraws the oldest sent invitations before the backlog reaches the cap. Two rules keep it safe:
- Never withdraw an invitation younger than 7 days. Recent invitations are still likely to be accepted.
- Withdrawals have their own budget. They never consume the connection-request allowance, because withdrawing relieves exactly the pressure that allowance protects against.
Withdrawn contacts can be re-invited after a cooldown, so hygiene never permanently burns a prospect.
