How many LinkedIn messages per day is safe?
A safe daily message volume depends on the account tier: CampaignStack’s base limits are 50 per day on a free account, 150 on Premium, 200 on Sales Navigator, and 300 on Recruiter, and every account caps at 80% of what LinkedIn practically tolerates.
The ceiling matters less than how it gets spent. Three pacing rules carry as much weight:
- Warm-up applies. An account that has never sent automated messages starts at 10% of its budget and grows 4 percentage points per active day, so a fresh free account begins around 5 messages per day, not 50. Idle days decay the ramp. See warm-up.
- Business hours only. Messages dispatch between 8 AM and 6 PM in the account’s local timezone, spread across the day rather than fired in a burst. A day’s budget arriving in one 15-minute window is exactly the pattern that triggers security checks.
- Replies come out of headroom. The 20% of capacity CampaignStack never schedules is reserved for conversation replies and manual sends, so an active inbox never competes with outbound sequences.
One hard technical limit: a LinkedIn message body caps at 8,000 characters. CampaignStack enforces it server-side before dispatch.
Messages to existing 1st-degree connections are the volume above. InMail is budgeted separately and constrained mostly by your InMail credit balance, not a daily send cap.
